My favourite pavalova-type cake

For a while now, Mummy has been writing a cooking book called “Special Delivery”. It is going to be sold in England and in Australia. It will be launched some time in  December in England and was launched on the fifth of November in Australia. I have personally tasted most of the recipes and can truthfully say that they are all scrumdidilyumptious! They are recipes from all over the world : France England and especially Australia.

Courgettes

Both the flower and the vegetable can be eaten, so when you plant them, you’re hitting two birds with one stone! But there is one thing to be careful of: like pumpkins, they take up a lot of room!

I like to help Mama and Daddy do cooking. While Helen and and Rupert were on camp, I made fingerprint biscuits with Mama during a thunderstorm. There was even little white things on the lawn (hail). You make a hole in the biscuits with your finger and fill it up with jam or chocolate. Then you cook it.

I have also helped Daddy make strawberry bread for breakfast. I really like to make thing that you have to knead because I like kneading.

Spaghetti lentilaise

I got this recipe from my mum. It is spaghetti bolgonase but insted of meat there is lentils.I really like it, it is my favourite dinner.

Ingredients

2 carrots

1 stick celery

1 onion

2 cloves garlic

big squirt tomato paste

half cup green lentils

1 tin chopped tomato

1hand full fresh parcely

Method

1.Chop carrot `celary and oinion into small cubes and  fry in olive oil

2. Add tomato paste and stir,

3. Add washed lentils and tomatoes, along with 1 tinful of water.

4. Stir and bring to the boil.

5. Simmer on low heat for about half an hour.

6. When the lentils are soft  add the finly choped garlic and parsely.

7. Serve with spaghetti and parmesan cheese.
